pre-flight briefing:
we were asked to do this as a college assessment and re an act what is said and done in a pre-flight briefing before take-off of a plane, so each member of cabin crew knew what to do while flying.
good: this improves communication skills both individual and as a group of people who are working together.
bad: some people may choose not to listen to and then not know what to do, one person could just be doing all the word and no one else do anything.

enrolment to college:
good: understand everything about college, be introduced to your course leaders and members of staff in the college, talk to new people and learn where things are.
bad: might not meet the standards including behaviour and how you act towards staff and greet people or meet the grades to get into college.

discussion in class:
good: everyone can have their own opinion, and no one can judge because it's their choice on what to say and discuss other things about the course, assignments or just in general like out of college.
bad: might criticise each other on their own opinions, even though it's their own choice on what to say, can’t think quick enough and put people under pressure or communicate with each other.

teamwork

just dance:
we did this in lesson when starting college to ger to know each other and communicate to speak to each other a lot more who we have never met before.
good: communicate with one another to do the dance at the same time and make sure it's in time with the music and not all over the place.
bad: someone might not be able to keep up with the other one dancing or they want to do it on their own and not in a pair. might not even like dancing in the first place but didn't like to tell anyone in case they get judged or laughed at.

delivering discussion:
good: have your own opinion about something and discuss whatever you want, and everyone can join in with their own opinion and decisions.
bad: some people might not want to say their own opinion in case they get judged.

telephone call:
good: communicate over the phone so it’s easier to understand what they are talking about.
bad: might want their own privacy and not speak to someone over the phone, you can get more information face to face with someone instead of over the phone

sustainability

recycling:
making sure that water bottes go in the right colour bin which is brown. each type of recycling has a different colour bin so nothing goes into land fill and it properly recycled. use of recycling bags for shopping, using a paper bag instead of a plastic bag is safer for the environment.

printing allowance:
each student has a limited printing balance so no paper is wasted in college and less use of it. if you run out of printing balance you can ask for more but make sure it is a valid reason.

travelling to college:
getting the bus to college and back from college instead of a car is is better for the environment because many people can get the bus however 1 person could just be in the car polluting the air.

motivation

college:
I make sure i'm keeping up with assignments and staying motivated through out so i keep the same consistency throughout. I want to pass my course with good grades and get a good job so handing in high levels of work will help me do this.

part time job as well as college:
I hold a part time job as well as still going to college full-time. So i go to college in the mornings then start work at about 5pm until 10pm. I have to keep motivated to do this as some days i struggle and get tired. I also have to find the time to get college work done.

Exercise:
I take my dog on a walk in the mornings before college starts and on the weekends. I need to stay motivated as this helps my family and saves them a job. I have to get up 20 minute earlier to be able to walk the dog and i feel it helps with my wellbeing too.

i mentored someone and helped them with their assignment on what to do and write to make sure it made sense so they could get a good grade at college.

mentored someone at work:

i helped someone at work to make the job easier by telling them what to do instead of watching them struggle and figure it out for themselves, it just makes the job flow a lot easier.

mentored someone present a presentation:

i helped someone present a presentation by helping them improve on their confidence. a group assignment was set to present in front of the teacher and other students. i practised and stopped them from being nervous.

i always turn up to work on time and never cancel on a shift last minute which allows the manager to trust me and make sure i always turn up.

i hand assignments in on time to make sure i am always caught up with the work and never falling behind on work this makes college a lot easier spacing out all my assignments.

on time for college:

always make sure i am on time for college to make sure i am getting told about all the assignments i have ad information that needs to added.

fly me:

i engaged with all the activities i was told to do such as airport check in, health and safety. if i did it again i wouldn't change anything. i achieved a lot of knowledge from this work experience and improved on my listening and communication skills.

gist - part time job:

i work in a warehouse for m&s. i speak to people everyday to improve my communication skills. i've been working there for nearly 2 years and i wouldn't change anything. from this experience i have learnt how to speak to new people.

open evening:

i showed students around college and showed them what is included in the course and answered any questions they wanted to ask. this improved my listening skills. from this experience i achieved in helping other students with there future when studying at college.
