Ferromagnetic Materials -Parth

A ferromagnetic material is a material that can either be attracted towards a magnet, or it can be turned into a magnet. A ferromagnetic material’s atoms face in different directions, however, when it is turned into a magnet, all the atoms will face one direction. The ferromagnetic material is converted into a magnet when you take a permanent magnet (e.g. bar magnet) and start rotating it around the ferromagnetic material. You can make a permanent bar magnet by taking a ferromagnetic material, and rotating a bar magnet around it while touching the sides. Repeating this process for a while will make the ferromagnetic material into a bar magnet.
In a magnetised ferromagnetic material, all the atoms align and face the same direction.

https://www.britannica.com/science/ferromagnetism

(magnetising magnetic materials) An electromagnet is a magnet that is powered by electric currents. It's a temporary magnet that stops acting like one once the current is turned off. When certain materials, such as steel and special alloys, are placed in a coil and a very strong current is passed through it, electromagnets can become permanent magnets.

A hammer may also be used to demagnetize a magnet by striking the ends of the magnet with it. This will change the order of the magnet. A good technique to attain this goal is to hit a magnet with an item in general, applying force.

An alternating current field may be used to change the order of the magnetic poles in the same way. You may achieve this by placing the magnet into a solenoid, which is a loop of coiled copper wire enclosing a metal core that is coupled to an electric current and connected to an alternating current circuit.

Citation- IMA. 2021. How can a magnet be demagnetized? - Magnets Blog - IMA.
Magnet losing its properties over time

A magnet's characteristics can deteriorate with time, mostly as a result of being subjected to high temperatures and electromagnetic fields around the magnet, which reduces the magnetism level. The process is quite slow; it takes about 700 years for a modern samarium-cobalt magnet to lose half its strength; however, heating or dropping a magnet may accelerate this process.
-krrish

Citation-

1)Gupta, Vandana. “Do Magnets Wear out?” BBC Science Focus Magazine, www.sciencefocus.com/science/do-magnets-wear-out/.

2)“Do Magnets Weaken over Time?
