Selective breeding is controlled by humans in which they decide which animals will breed depending on the specific trait they are after. In this photo, the cow has been genetically modified to produce more meat by selecting which organisms to breed, injecting them with hormones, and then selling the meat to the public to feed the masses.

What type of downfall or problems do you think can happen to the public, you, your family by ingesting genetically modified meat?

Zoe Martin-Arriaga
many people see having genetically modified foods as a good thing. they tend to believe that things such as cows being selectively bred will better the world by eliminating all cows with diseases such as e.coli, and that selective breeding is good for the environment( I'm not sure how). this is not always the case. even though they are selectively bred, cows still may contain illnesses that money-hungry farmers(breeders) will overlook blindly. because of that, one person contracting an illness from contaminated meat may infect a room, than an auditorium, than maybe even an entire county. this epidemic may very well be the downfall of genetic modification entirely.
