This would be Wilbur Wright's wallpaper because he and his brother had always looked up to view birds in flight, envied their freedom of travel, and dreamed of flying.

They liked to ride their bicycles to a popular picnic area south of Dayton called the "Pinnacles." There they would observe the soaring birds and their observations were crucial in convincing them that gaining lateral control of a flying machine would require actually changing the shape of the wing.

At first they didn’t learn anything of use to them by their observations. Later, after they had thought out certain principles, they observed the birds to see if they used the same principles.

Wilbur wrote many years later, "learning the secret of flight from a bird was a good deal like learning the secret of magic from a magician. After you once knew the trick and know what to look for, you see things that you did not notice when you did not know exactly what to look for.

He also said, "If the bird’s wings would sustain it in the air without the use of any muscular effort, we did not see why man could not be sustained by the same means."

In May 1908, Wilbur Wright arrived in France to promote their airplane. Orville Wright was in the US to conduct flight trials for the army.
Orville: Hey Brother. How is France going?
Wilbur: France is going great. It's been almost a year since arriving.
Orville: How many airplanes have you built?
Wilbur: You will not believe this, but I have made more than 200 flights in Europe. I have created dazzling crowds whenever I take to the air and have turned critics into admirers. I became a hero here. I am lavished with praise, honored at ceremonial dinners with political leaders and the aeronautical elite, and the recipient of numerous prizes and medals, including the Legion of Honor. What are you up to brother?
Orville: I have completed my flight trials for the U.S. Army contract in America. They are very proud of us here too. Should I now come next to you?
Wilbur: That would be amazing. You will be such a support for me. We can present our latest model to Europe, our Model A, a refinement of our 1905 Flyer.
Orville: Sounds good. Where will we go?
Wilbur: Germany. Bring Katharine with you too. I have decided to make her one of the first woman to fly.
Orville: Okay I'll tell her. What else will we be doing?
Wilbur: We will demonstrate the airplane and train pilots in connection with a contract for license-built Wright aircraft.
Orville: Okay. That sounds awesome! Will talk to you soon then.
Wilbur: Bye Brother. Say Hi to family.

R Kelly - I Believe I Can Fly
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zK2ZuescJGA
"I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away"
This is one of Wilbur's favorite songs because it expresses exactly his feelings when trying to build an airplane with his brother. The "believed they could fly", and became the first people to fly a heavier than air, power controlled machine. This did not simply happen overnight. They "thought about it every night and day." The brothers had been tinkering with the idea of flight off and on since childhood. They were mechanically inclined young men who were inspired by the efforts of others.

Pink Floyd - Learning to Fly
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NPk5zuMdyw&list=PLlgvO0HPAfRNI01Myx-m1f5APGoU1Wh2r
"Flight instruments
Altimeters, check both
Navigation lights, on
Strobes, on
Confirm three-eight-echo ready for departure
Hello again, this is now 129.4
129.4, it's to go
You may commence your takeoff, winds over ten knots"
This song would be listened frequently by Wilbur Wright because it talks about what is needed to departure on a plane, and if it wasn't for him and his brother, they wouldn't exist. It gives him a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Alan Parsons - Blue, Blue Sky
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbmMeJa8bO4&index=13&list=PLlgvO0HPAfRNI01Myx-m1f5APGoU1Wh2r
"Someday I'll touch the blue blue sky
Someday I'll touch the blue blue sky..."
The brothers never gave up. They built multiple planes before presenting their final one to everyone. This also included multiple crashes. But the brothers made sure to never give up, and therefore Wilbur listened to this song to remind himself.

His preaching took him on the road frequently and he often brought back small toys for his children. In 1878 he brought a small model helicopter for his boys. Made of cork, bamboo, paper, and powered by a rubber band to twirl its blades, the model was based on a design by the French aeronautical pioneer Alphonse Pénaud. Fascinated by the toy and its mechanics, Wilbur and Orville developed a lifelong love of aeronautics and flying. Therefore, Wilbur kept a picture of this toy.

In 1903, this was the Wrights initial sketch for their first powered airplane.

Stopwatch App:
Wilbur and Orville Wright both timed how long their planes would fly in the air. Orville piloted the first gasoline-powered, propeller-driven biplane, which stayed aloft for 12 seconds and covered 120 feet on its inaugural flight. Their latest model was called the "Model B." This was their best flight.

MyRadar Weather Radar:
MyRadar is a fast, easy-to-use, weather application that displays animated weather radars around your current location, allowing you to quickly see what weather is coming your way. This app would be perfect for Wilbur Wright. This is because he was the one in control of the environment, and if the circumstances were good for a flight to take off (Orville was the one who flied the plane). On top of the basic weather forecast, Wilbur can get a quick glance of temperatures around the country, as well as overlay a current satellite image of cloud cover. Also, provides moving maps, approach charts, terrain awareness, weather graphics, weight and balance, flight plan filing and a whole lot more. This would be very useful for pilots, like Wilbur and Orville.

Takeoff – Daily aviation videos and articles:

During the Industrial Revolution, many people were creating new inventions. They were becoming inventors, and involving more in science. Because there were so many new ideas and inventions, it was hard to keep up with them. Therefore Wilbur owned this app. It let him learn about these inventions. He enjoyed using it especially if the inventions had to do with aviation. Therefore, he had this app on his phone. It allowed him to stay up to date on the latest aviation trends. It also featured engaging video tips for pilots of all levels, fun and educational articles by active pilots, popular aviation podcasts, and breaking aviation news and opinion. This would be a perfect app for the brothers!
