Honestly, the school has gone through serious trauma in terms of the Head of School position and the big talk/ flimsy action of it's social justice promise. On top of that, tragically, some *wonderful* people have been let go. Many parents have so much love for this community, but so much sadness and frustration, that you may find there's an ongoing list of passionate people who want to speak with you. PDS parents are highly motivated, creative, and care deeply...and yet, we want You, Angela, to take care of You. We want desperately for you to not go away because of overwhelm. Many of us understand that Park Day's mission is a big one, and the effort to deliver on it's promise has suffered terribly due to a lack of solid leadership that has been equipped to meet the goal. We are devastated by this news. Next, we are *deeply* hoping that the school will make revolutionary use of it's campus so our kids can actually go to school in the Fall. The remote learning has been rough, and felt mostly like homeschooling, so we're praying for a much better program to come. Lastly, we're hoping so much to see more children of color and more LGBTQ+ families in the PDS community.
