         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ideas for Term 2 ...Matariki focus.<br>Reuse, recycle, repurpose, making new from old.<br>Personal pepeha, build on the structure of the school one that was the Term 1 focus.<br>Build on sentence structures for introductions,  add more  vocabulary  eg, age,  basics for connections and where they are. <br>To understand what they are saying.<br>Focus on Traditional Matariki values, planting times, new from old (see above).<br>Sharing time to share if we make art work (Wearable Arts) food, (cooking).<br>Kapahaka, learn a song for Matariki, bring the Matariki song into Middle School Kapahaka.<br>Refer to the Unit in our Term Planning that surrounds our Kapahaka kaupapa. (Shared in Middle School Team Drive for links to our planning)<br>Use Whakatauki and expand understandings.<br>Make use of the different stories to encompass various cultures eg. The Cat and The Stars (pacifica) The Fishes, The Seven Sisters, as well as the Journal stories and Ready to Read books.<br><br></div>]]></description>
