  • May have stolen items due to harsh living conditions and probably having no money

  • Her sentence may have been transportation or imprisonment where she may have had to do hard demanding physical labour

  • Today I think she would’ve received a suspended sentence if she didn’t have any previous convictions (between 14days to 2 years) but likely wouldn’t of gone to prison if she stayed out of trouble
