All members of the 369th recieved the French Croix De Guerre, the highest honor that they could give to foreign soldiers without presidential permission<br>4.          <description><![CDATA[<div>1. before being drafted into the 369th regiment many of the hellfighters played together in an orchestra conducted by James Reese Europe, the regiment's band lead. shows how they all influenced the higher society even before fighting.<br>2.the band faced intense racism when they went for training in the south, they were refused entry into the local town's pub due to being black, until the white soldiers refused to go until the HH were allowed in. This shows that they had an effect by training alongside white soldiers who then brought this perception back home.<br><br></div>]]></description>
