The church has a nave in three sections under a cross vault and chapels  in the late Gothic style, dating from the early 16th century. 
The tower (completed in 1544) has a square floor plan in its lower sections, becoming octagonal towards the top. The interior recalls the typical minarets of the Almohad era. Its exterior decoration is based on brick and ceramic, and it has over 8,000 tiles with a range of motifs and colours.
La iglesia de Santa María en Utebo es una de las más espectaculares torres en el estilo mudéjar aragonés. La iglesia consta de una nave en tres secciones bajo la bóveda de crucería y capillas en estilo Gótico tardío pertenecientes a principios del siglo XVI. La torre (terminada en 1544) tiene una planta cuadrada en la parte inferior que se hace octogonal en la parte más alta. El interior evoca los típicos minaretes de la época almohade. Su decoración externa es de ladrillo y cerámica y tiene casi 8.000 azulejos de variados motivos y colores.
