The first geographic feature that helped cities in Mesopotamia was the Zagros mountains were by the Mesopotamia so when the snow melted then water would go down and give all the crops water. But that also gave the Mesopotamia a bad impact. Mesopotamia is by two rivers the Tigris and the Euphrates those two rivers had a negative impact on the Mesopotamia because when the snow melted on the Zagros mountain it over flowed and destroyed the crops so then humans made levees that kept the water from overflowing and destroying the crops.

Government or laws are important because they keep us safe and laws make the world kind of fair. Hammurabi's code or laws was one of the first set of laws it had many laws but all the laws could tell you Mesopotamia had bad consequences if you broke a law like if a house is on fire and you come to help put out the fire but steal something in the process then you should be thrown into the fire. Hammurabi's code of laws was important to the Mesopotamia, even though the laws had bad consequences it was important to keep things safe. Hammurabi's code is important today because it gave us later a way to have fair rules.
