He is most known for his system for finding prime numbers, called the "Sieve of Eratosthenes", and his incredibly accurate calculation of Earth's circumference. He was also the chief librarian at the Library of Alexandria, tutored the ruler of Egypt's son, was the first to calculate the tilt of Earth's axis, invented a system of longitude and latitude, and made a calendar with leap years.
