Today is my first day doing Students in Enterprise Programme (SIEP) at Zhi Wei Restaurant.  I have been introduced the scopes of work.  The scopes of work are take orders from customers for food or beverages, serve food or beverages to customers, present menu to customers and answer questions about menu items if required, clean tables after customers have finished dining, prepare hot, cold and mixed drinks for customers, inform customers for daily economic rice, remove dishes and glasses from tables and take them to kitchen for cleaning, perform cleaning duties, and perform food preparation duties.  So far, my work was changed with the situation of restaurant and customers.  Importantly, I just followed the boss and his wife' order.  Mr.Lai Weng Kong and his wife, Mrs Lou Lee Lee were arranged I that performing food preparation duties.  After, I prepared hot, cold and mixed drinks for customers.  If the customers wanted the tin of drink, I only prepared glass or glass and ice.  I cleaned tables after customers have finished dining.  I also have removed dishes and glasses from tables and take them to kitchen for cleaning.  I started working from 9.00 am until 2.45 pm.  ]]> 2018-09-02 09:09:20 UTC https://padlet.com/yingchin_a15a1107/yingchin_zhiweirestaurant/wish/277133309 yingchin_a15a1107 https://padlet.com/yingchin_a15a1107/yingchin_zhiweirestaurant/wish/277150101 Day 2
Today is my second day doing SIEP at Zhi Wei Restaurant.  I performed food preparation duties such as peeling prawn, peeling off onions, cutting the onions, and breaking eggs. After, I served customers. I presented menu to customers and questioned about menu items if required. I answered the customer's question as the name of foods items in the menu are be calling different for customers so I have to explained the difference that the name is based to the states but totally is same thing. Today is my third day doing SIEP at Zhi Wei Restaurant.  First, I performed food preparation duties.  I served customers.  Then, I will present menu to customers and question about menu items if required.  In the same time, I also informed customers for daily economic rice. I taken orders from customers for food and beverages. Today is my fifth day doing SIEP at Zhi Wei Restaurant. I start performed food preparation duties. I served customers when the customers sitting on the seat. I presented menu to customers and questioned about menu items if required. I also informed customers for daily economic rice. The customers taken the rice then choosing the favorite dish.  After that, the customers paid at the counter.  The customers have self-service when choosing economic rice.  I only taken orders from customers for food and beverages.  The food is cook foods as Penang foods in the menu. I served food and beverages to customers. Sometimes, customers taken orders the cook foods before 10.00 am so I have to inform the customers whenever they want or not to wait. Today is my sixth day doing SIEP at Zhi Wei Restaurant. I performed food preparation duties. I served customers when the customers sitting on the seat. I presented menu to customers and questioned about menu items if required. I also informed customers for daily economic rice. I taken orders from customers for food and beverages. I served food and beverages to customers. When doing SIEP at the restaurant， Mr.Lai and his wife were a great help to me that how to manage their business.  They are not only communicated with customers to resolve complaints or ensure satisfaction on the economic rice and cook foods which they communicating with customers's daily life and concerning the customers. This will close relationships with customer segment. The customer segment is UMK students, local communities, and workers. I cleaned table after customers have finished dining.  I also removed dishes and glasses from tables and taken them to kitchen for cleaning.  I worked until specified time on the sixth day.

Today is my seventh day doing SIEP at Zhi Wei Restaurant. First, I performed food preparation duties.  After, I served customers when the customers sitting on the seat.  I presented menu to customers and questioned about menu items if required.  I also informed customers for daily economic rice.  I taken orders from customers for food and beverages.  I served food and beverages to customers.  I can learn from Mr. Lai and his wife that how manage long-term business in keen competition.  Many competitors are near by Zhi Wei Restaurant like as Restaurant Mee Chin, Restaurant Mee Kelate, Kedai Makan Farqan, and others.  Mr. Lai and his wife managed their business upon their conscience.  They cooked foods, steeped beverages and  marked price for peace of conscience.  Mr.Lai cooked foods and steeped beverages that will consider the health of customers.  Mr. Lai cooked foods which avoid more used ajinomoto mono sodium glutamate to enhance the flavor of foods.  His wife steeped beverages which avoid using pigment be like the beverages.  Nowadays, more people wanted to earn more profit with using pigment to be more similarly the beverages that can less using the material as barley, chrysanthemum and Ribena. Mr.Lai and his wife also marked price of foods, beverages and economic rice that compared with other competitors. The price does not become customers's burden and affects customers reduce coming their restaurant. I cleaned tables after customers have finished dining. I also removed dishes and glasses from tables and taken them to kitchen for cleaning. Today is my ninth day doing SIEP at Zhi Wei Restaurant.  Start, I performed food preparation duties.  Then, I served customers when customers sitting on the seat.  I presented menu to customers and questioned about menu items if required.  I also informed customers for daily economic rice.  I taken orders from customers for food and beverages. I worked in the restaurant who heard the various different languages and dialects. I can hear the various of Chinese dialect as Hokkien, Teochew, and Cantonese. I also heard the Indian people speaking Tamil. I learned the various of Chinese dialect when I taking orders for Chinese customers. It is serving customers easily. Importantly, I remembered a little bit the pronunciation of various of Chinese dialect for menu items and beverages.
