The insect was transferred to between the girl's thumb and index finger. 'Oh! It's not a grasshopper. It's a bell cricket.' The girl's eyes shone as she looked at the small brown insect." (Kawabata 78-80) The representation of this is that you may see a person as a grasshopper or just average. when the bell cricket or the beautiful person may be right in front of you and you don’t even know it.
