Less frequently, they are found in parks, commercial corridors, tourist areas, bus terminals, vacant lots and parking lots. With regard to the publication of this Report, it is worth reflecting on the situation of street children in Mexico City.
There are 14,322 children who live and work on the streets in Mexico City, according to a survey conducted in 2000 by the System for the Integral Development of the Family of the Federal District and UNICEF (INEGI, 2004). (Vianey)
