Deucalion (the leader of the Alpha pack) is trying to recruit Derek and Scott but there is a test which is they need to kill all of their pack members. Derek was forced to kill one of his own because of the Alpha pack. In the end, a showdown between Scott and Deucalion vs Derek and Ms.Blake(Darach) took place. Blake planned this fight to take place during a lunar eclipse when the werewolves are weaken. Blake scattered a ring of mountain ash (supernatural beings can't get through it) around her.
