Community Service is defined as identifying a social issue in the community.
This requires students to look beyond themselves and reach out to an issue faced by our society (i.e. poverty, abuse, elderly citizen rights).

Responsibilities

TAB requires a high level of commitment and will help teens to gain leadership experience that will be a benefit in the workplace and on college applications.
TAB members are expected to promote library services in the community through outreach events as well as play an integral role in the planning and presentation of library programs. TAB members are also encouraged to suggest new library materials.

The goal of the Student Service Program is to help shape and mentor the next generation of servant leaders in our community.

Students are selected for the program through an application process - a panel of judges reviews the applications and selects the students for the program based on evidence of genuine interest in the areas of community service and civic engagement, academic achievements, and more.

Students selected for the Team participate for two-years. Apply in Spring of Sophomore year of high school, during their junior year, the students will participate various areas of service & fundraising. As seniors, the students remain actively involved in the program by mentoring the next group of students in the program and continuing to volunteer with the foundation throughout the year.
