         <description><![CDATA[<div>SG - in student wellbeing. <br>Need for time - support for the support group teacher - more guidance, therapeutic assistance and care for the support group. <br>Wanting more strategies to assist SG and to know how to pick up the warning signs. <br>Wanting a bag of knowledge - apart from just non attendance. <br>Cheat sheet of what to look out for. <br>Is there as much time you can have one on one due to the online nature of the support group. <br>Ensuring time for the SG to have their own wellbeing. <br>Good thing that the students come out of a classroom with the SG teacher, this allows an extra 3 - 4 hours a week to build relationships. This needs to be kept. <br>Text from the computer would be very time saving and would help the SG to contact family/carers/students. This is a quick, easy, time saving device which also will allow for cut and paste to SSS for record keeping. <br>SSS - needs to be kept up to date but is time consuming. <br>Keeping SSS up to date is really important so everyone needs to know what is going on. <br>Cheat sheet with respectful and right wording for SSS. Great help for tired teachers. <br>Support the support group teachers meetings and get togethers with a cup of tea and biscuit and brain storming over what else might work. Why re-invent the wheel if someone else has done something that works. <br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>How can we support the support group teachers:</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Cheat sheets of what to look for. SG teachers may not see warning signs. SG teachers could intervene earlier. Finding the tell tale signs.&nbsp;<br><br>Suggested better staff/student/ext services communications to allow better understanding.&nbsp;<br><br>Information for teachers - checklist, what is working well for the college for attendance - sheet to work through - steps to follow up with the students. Suggested conversation starters - script ideas?&nbsp;<br><br>How do students find their way back in? What strategies do we have as a school to help the students re-enter? Who does a SG contact re the bridge to get the students back in.&nbsp;<br><br>Team support group teaching - two adults running SG sessions. Possibly two adults running the group to allow one adult to work one on one with students. One teacher teaching, one picking up on nuances of the students. Co-teaching arrangements with SG teachers.&nbsp;<br><br>Thinking about the powerful connections brought about by sporting activities with the students - making connections. eg. being with the student on their activity - you know and they know they care.&nbsp;<br><br>Utilise the writing activity at the beginning of the year. Maybe this could be more utlised. How can this information be shared.&nbsp;<br>Can this be put on shared doc such as SSS? this may be able to be put on SSS by admin staff to eleviate the stress from teachers.&nbsp;<br><br>Does the timing of support group have effect on the students? Worries that some students only have to come in for just support group.&nbsp;<br><br>Is there capacity early&nbsp; in the term to do off campus activities/bonding?&nbsp;<br><br>Team building in each support group&nbsp;<br><br>Regularly verbal connections with students remind the students that the students can support each other and have the power to suporrt - increased positivity.&nbsp;<br><br>Wacky idea - mystery support group&nbsp; - expanding your idea as a teacher of getting to know other students. Students getting to know other grown ups.&nbsp;<br><br>Connectedness - heart of whatever is being done in support.&nbsp;<br><br>Love what Gav does on Thurs and the bbq's. Can we build in more whole school events. Possibly with our new Jemima.&nbsp;<br><br>All of this is done in mind with the huge changes that are coming about through my education. What a great opportunity for dynamic changes. </div>]]></description>

You could create an online circle and then click on the various roles and blurbs coming up. </div>]]></description>
