I connected to this book as the reader when salva had to flee from his home of fire and explosions and gun shots. When i got a bit more into this book i knew what it was about and all the religious persecution and other sorts of stuff. I really did like this book cause it was about a kid running from home cause of a big war and it was sorta like how my dad had to flee from Bosnia from the war. I would think people that like read alot would like to read this type of book and also people that like books that have people fleeing from homes and getting shot at.

This is a very good book its where these people are stuck in this crazy town and had been turned into these beasts that are blue and that are very strong and have to work in the mines like a prison for a very long time like salvary. They also escape out of the prison and are able to live for free for like the shortest amount of time. They try to get there own superhuman powers like for example brawn is getting always chased by the government for experiments. What do you think will happen to all the super humans will they get wiped out of the universe...

There are many traps everything that you can image that can hurt you or even KILL you. You will have to make your own weapons from the only trees that are hard to find. At the end you will be gifted with magic wonders on your next journey the the scorch trails. Will you live or will you die...
