Moving around does help, I have noticed that I move from my desk to my bed, to my dining table when I get too tired sitting in one spot. I like the change of scenery. I would not highlight from my books, I do not like the idea of destroying my books. For my books, I do LIGHTLY scribble something in pencil but I wouldn't DARE use a pen or marker in my books. I would underline inspirational quotes but not metaphors or figurative language. What I have done is have a separate sheet of paper and write down interesting information with the page numbers. I do like writing my thoughts on the separate sheet of paper, it is more interactive and fun for me. I note when I can relate to something or have a question about something in the book.

I like the outline method when I am listing the main points of something like a book chapter or a small topic. I use the cornell notes for things that I have trouble understanding. Cornell notes help me review later and I like adding my questions related to the topic and answering them on my own as a way of reviewing. Adding the summary at the bottom helps me get a general idea of the page so I can find the page quicker when I am flipping. I find the mind maps and flow maps a little too messy for me. I am already a messy person, I do not need JUST my thoughts in one place. I usually do the write-on-slides method. Most of my professors have provided notes on their course and I like to write them down in a notebook just because writing them myself while reading the notes helps me retain the information. Copying down the professor's notes on the course lets me know what they think is important and that is usually what is on the test. Recently, I was writing down some economic notes provided by my teacher, but she did not include examples for some parts so I added my examples and labeled things to match my notes.

I do use Google Drive for school and everything. Do I need to use Word for schoolwork? yeah no, I'm writing my paper in Google Docs, THEN I'll copy and paste that into Word to turn it in.

I also have a USB that has a folder of my junior fall semester, then more folders for each one of my classes. After completing an assignment, I immediately put my assignments into the right folder. I went from having five notebooks, one for every class ( not including STAE) to having two notebooks, one for economics and another one for Spanish. I have a small 1.5-inch binder for classes that will have the homework online or give assignments on paper, like STAE, English 4, ENG-111, and COMS. I do feel like the video was very informative, but I already do MOST of the things he recommends. The only thing that I found was TOO MUCH was the labeling of every single kind of note. I like being organized, but that is TOO ORGANIZED. I wish there were more tips like how to clean out and decide what notes to throw away and what notes to rewrite.
