Who is David Hockney??

David Hockney was born in Bradford, England, in 1937, he attended art school in London before moving to Los Angeles in the 1960s. He had painted his famous swimming pool paintings. In the 1970s, he began working in photography, creating photo collages he called joiners. He continues to create and exhibit art, and in 2011 he was voted the most influential British artist of the 20th century. His early work paintings incorporated his literary leanings, and he used fragments of poems and quotations from Walt Whitman in his work.

By the mid 1970s, he had all but abandoned painting in favor of projects involving photography, lithographs, and set and costume design for the ballet, opera and theater. His later works from the 1980s, he went back to painting, mostly seascapes, flowers, and portraits of loved ones. He used laser fax machines and laser printers in 1990, and in 2009 he started using the brushes app on iPhones and iPads to create paintings. In 2011 poll of more than 1,000 British artists, he was voted the most influential British artist of all time. He still had to continued painting and exhibit, and funds for the arts.

What I did to create?

What I did to create this artwork was I first edited all my photographs in 'Photos', and just raised up the brightness and contrast. Then I moved all of my photos all in 'Photoshop'. I first started with the most hardest and that was the Hockney collage. First, I made a new file by going > File > New , then created document that's 11 x 14, and 300 resolution. Then I grabbed a whole bunch of pictures, File > open > photos. I tried grabbing as many photos that ran in the same lining of each other or some that just looked the same. I grabbed about 12 photos each by going, command > click. For the first photograph, I dragged it down so it's on the bottom left side, then took the 'Move tool', scooched it with my mouse, then edit > transform > scale. I adjusted it to the way that I wanted it. Then, I took the next photographs and did the exact same thing. Lastly, in order to finish it off, I merged all of the layers by going layer > merge visible so that it said 'background'. I did some editing of the whole thing by going image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation or the Vibrance and or more Brightness/Contrast. Saved it as going to File > save as > last name, first name, jpg. Then moved it all to my desktop and dragged them all into the RBV class folder.
