As a child, a person lacks the skills and ability to recognize their surroundings for what they really are, and their perception of others and the world around them depends on what they are told. Of course is it almost impossible to not be influenced by other people and i think it is helpful for someone to have a little booster and try to get an idea of what the world is like.
