My parents were big on education and paid for all 5 of their daughter's college education. They too were educated.  That educational legacy has continued within the family to the next generations -- my children, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, etc.

My career before retiring was in human resource management and development. I have worked in the housing, transportation, and healthcare industries.  After retiring in 2015, I founded a faith-based nonprofit, Yield to the King Ministry.  Our tag line is "Peopld are the heart of the matter."

My passion is social justice and equity for all, especially our marginalized populations.

My people are my Pacific Northwest family, friends and colleagues.  I grew up white in a white environment and became a teacher in the highly diverse, low-income area of SeaTac.  I am sure I learned more than I was able to teach.
