My Novel's Point Of View

My novel Drums girls & Dangerous Pie is written in first person point of view. I know this because We are limited to Steven point of view and thoughts. “It's amazing--my parents call everything a discussion. If I were standing across the street, firing a bazooka at my mother, while my father was launching mortar back at me, and Jeffery was charging down the driveway with a grenade in his teeth, my parents would say we should stop having this public "discussion".” This was a direct quote from the book that allows you to know what Steven is feeling because he is telling you himself. The first person point of view while it allows you to get to know a character also really limits us because we do not know what the other characters are thinking or feeling.
