It’s unfinished but it has the elements of perspective. The stairs and railings converge at the vanishing point, and the focal point is the figure in the center! :)

This piece was a bit silly for me to figure out; I love the premise of completing a picture, but for some reason I struggled a bit to match the values up. I tend to create stylized art rather than realism-adjacent art, so it was a learning curve. I worked to the best of my ability and overcame my limitations despite this. I think I could have done better with proportions maybe?

This was also pretty odd for me, in a good way. Working with negative space was actually super fun! The concept of implied line intrigues me a bit, since I’m usually the polar opposite; very strong and bold lineart. I suppose that’s because I tend to draw characters. It’s good to deviate a bit.

This was an interesting practice. I struggled a little with scale, but in the end I got over it and created a decently accurate rendition of the little boxes. I’m not used to using sighting techniques so it was also a learning curve, but that’s why I’m here I suppose! ٩(^‿^)۶

I had fun with the apple practice! I liked working with the watercolor markers to create depth and texture. It was a learning curve for sure but I did enjoy it. In the future I’d try to improve a bit on the way I use colors to create highlights and shadows.

This was a good way to introduce the unit and grasp the concept of IRL visual references for me. I tend to use images on my phone or computer as reference, but to use a 3D reference creates new opportunities and allows my brain to think in a different way. It was fun, and I definitely think this helped me in my personal art as well.
