Struggling readers in my classroom have taken the form of students who are disengaged in their reading lives.They are not motivated to read and therefore do not make typical progress. Struggling readers also can take the form of students with reading disabilities or attention deficits. These students work to overcome these factors to make process in their ability to decode, comprehend, and read fluently.
