What’s happening?

We chose Personal and cultural expression. Originally we were going to go with globalisation and sustainability, but we realised that if we were to choose that, it would be too straightforward. Our idea still needs to be straightforward, but we’ll need other minor ideas on the side to help us and guide us through our Campaign for change portfolio. The reason we chose Personal and cultural expression is because we need everybody to express what they think about the matter. Whether they think it’s good, bad, or overall they don’t care at all. We need everybody’s opinions, because they all matter.

1. Use less paper, A lot of reasons why people cut down trees is for paper. (Just don't buy a lot of paper, if you buy less paper the sale would go down and they won't cut that many trees.)

2.When you want to throw the paper away, throw it in the recycle bin so that it recycles and you can use it again.

3.Raise awarness so that other people can know what's happening in our planet that we have to fix.

What about this human action do you want to commit to changing?

We want to commit to stopping the human act of deforestation.

What mental model will be your theme/driver to make a change?

We will start a campaign, it will be a campaign that will not stop until we get what we want, which is to stop deforestation, whatever the Government does, if they bite back, we’ll take the full brunt of it and we won’t stop fighting. We can start making posters to hang around, so more people will be aware of what we are doing, and maybe even try to convince some celebrities to support our cause.

What do you want to sustain?

We want to sustain the forest in Nepal, to do that we want to stop deforestation and start afforestation.

Why are human actions affecting the systems?

It is affecting the system because the humans are causing the deforestation so that they can use the materials to make different products.

What international organizations would assist your efforts?

We think that companies like WWF would support us almost immediately, this is because they are a very well-organised organisation that tries to save the world’s animals. Of course this includes saving the trees and plants as well because they are a mandatory part of their survival, our campaign will be based on saving the environment and nature in Eastern Nepal, which houses some of the Himalayas. Which is home to about 10,000 species of just animal alone.

We can campaign by ourselves but not a lot of people will know about it.

A lot of campaigning so a lot of people will know about our campaign.
