The foundation stage in netball is learning how to catch the ball and how to throw the ball and starting to learn basic rules. And start playing high 5 netball. This generally goes up to the year 6 teams.

The participation stage is where you they start playing netball as 7 aside and learning how to pivot and increasing the mount of rules but still not using full rules. This is used from teams up to under 14s.

Performance stage in netball is where you start playing with full rules and starting to get tactics in games a starting fitness in training sessions. This is from teams under 16s and open age.

Excellence is starting too add food diary's into training and playing in competitions such as all five. This is manly for open age but there are some competitions for juniors.

Netball is quite hard to get into professionally this is because there isn't many opportunities to play the sport in certain areas. For example in Hull there's limited amount of clubs what you can access whereas in areas such as Loughborough there is more clubs available. Also there is more funding around that area so they are able to higher level team such as the Loughborough Lightning. Also there isn't many opportunities in netball as there is other sports again this is down to the funding the sport gets from sport England. It also isn't seen equally to other sports so not many people want to take part also there isn't many opportunities for males to play the sport at a high level due to how the sport is seen in the community compared to sports such as football and rugby. Also to get into a high performance team without a scholarship you have to have to pay from £350 a year just for training.

Foundation stage- This is where you are starting off with the basic s so going to ballet and tap lessons This is also where you start learning basic movements such as a step tap and sniffle bolchange. This is from the age range 2-6 years.

Participation stage- This stage is where you start to do recitals and shows and little competition. This is the stage where you start to try new styles such as street and lyrical and start learning the dance terminology. This stage is generally for the ages 7-12 so the juniors.

Performance stage- This is where you are competing in competitions such as legacy. By this stage you will understand all dance terminology.

Excellence stage- This is where you are starting to represent great Britain and you are able to compete in all dance styles confidently.

Dance is a really hard sport to get into professionally this is because it is an expensive sport to get into this is because you will be having to buy expensive costumes every
time you have a competition. Also it depends on location this is because some areas do' have many dance centers what can get you up to the competition stage so you have less chance off getting into the competitive situations. Also sport England doesn't give out a lot of money to this sport this is because a lot of people don't see it as a sport so not a lot of funding is sent out to local governments top provide more high competitive centers so without these you cant go into the competitive world of dance. Another reason is that you have to pay from £250 per competition and this is where most of the team scouts are so if you cant afford to pay that you wont be able to get scouted for higher level teams.

Foundation stage- In the foundation stage in football is where children start learning basic rules and skills in football such as kicking the ball and also work on controlling the ball. This started in school PE lessons and such companies such as mini kicks specialist in football coaching for the performance stage.

Participation stage- This is where you are doing low level matches for example in a Sunday league. Players in this section generally have an intrinsic motivation for playing football. In this stage they also are learning full rules and starting to look at tactics of the game.

Performance stage- To get into the performance stage you have to be scouted by an academy team. This is where you start to play intense level football playing harder matches and training sessions start to increase with harder skills. In this stage they have to be very fit as they will generally be training 3-4 times a week and having fixtures every week as well.

Excellence stage- The excellence stage is where you have been picked to play for your country. This is the stage where you start to play in the premiere league rather then any off the other leagues.
Football is easy and moderately hard to get into depending on your gender.
If you are a male footballer it is harder to get into professional football then if you was a women this is because of the amount of male football players there are. This makes it harder because there is a lot of other players playing for the same goal as you.

Football also has a lot of opportunities compared to other sports as they get a lot more funding due to the popularity of the sport so England sport gives out a lot more funding to give out the extra opportunities. Opportunities such as premier league kicks which encourages people to play football are paid through the funding given out by sport England.

All three sports football, netball and dance are completely different to get into professionally. Out of the three sports, football is easier to participate in at foundation level because of opportunity. This is all because off the funding each sports gets and the participation levels.

Popular sports such as football get a lot more funding so they can run activities such as premier league kicks with encourages people to play football. Whereas netball and dance to have anything to encourage people to play netball and to do dance on a more restricted budget. So this makes it a lot harder to get into dance and netball professionally because without the participation they wont be able to afford to run more teams, clubs and centers because they wont have the funding to do it.

Also because communities all across the UK see football as our national sport, developing through the continuum can be easier because of the facilities and accessibility of the sport. This also be a negative as you progress through the continuum to the elite stage because of the amount of people playing football in the country int the year 2016 there was 1,844,900 players in the UK. This would make it harder to play in the elite stage because there will be hundreds of people applying for the same position. Women's football is easier then males football to get into the elite stage because there is less players applying for the same position. Even though netball is harder to get into it is easier to get into the elite stage with only 180,200 players in the UK so there will be less people going to the same position so you have more chance of getting into the elite stage. Dance is easier to get into the elite stage because in the UK there is limited accessibility to competitive dance centres in the UK so even with high numbers of participation (437,200 participants) they are not likely to make it to the elite stage because of them not having access to a competitive centre.

In netball they have workshops you can go on to improve knowledge and skills of the sport this allows there to be an effective pro-education system allowing players to go further in netball compared to dance where there is no pro-education system so not many performers will know the full rules and a lot
of knowledge f the sport so more mistakes god be made.

With football regeneration happens because with the amount of funding the sport is given they are able to go buy and create better pitches and go into run down areas which creates more opportunities and better facilities to improve an athletes ability due to having up to date facilities and equipment where as in netball not a lot of funding so they cant afford to buy better and more high tech equipment and pitches. That is the same with dance not much regeneration happens due too lack of funding so there isn't any specialist centres for dance competitions.
