Our men had to face tough battles ,but they also spent a lot of time watching and waiting outdoors through all kids of weather.  On July 27, 2018, marked 65 years since an agreement was signed to stop the fighting there. Korea remains divided today , however, as North and South Korea. Even during the winters that could be as cold as ours in Canada! I also helped the sailers by catching rats onboard.Back in the 1 and 2 World Wars, 100s and 1000s of Canadians sailed from Halifax, Nova Scotia, to serve overseas. over in Europe , there is a similar memorial called ''Canada Gate '' that also  has boot prints  burned  into the walkway.

When Canadian served in Afghanistan from 2001 to 2014,a number of women were doing same jobs as men like driving trucks,flying warplanes,repairing engines,serving warship,tending.
