         <description><![CDATA[<div>Documentary photography had become more of a mainstream way to expose a story or event. Many of these photographs depicted the horrible effects from the Dust Bowl. When "Okies" migrated west, photographs exposed the Dust Bowl Camps commonly in the central valley of CA.</div>]]></description>

For going on a train without paying for the fair, punishment was to either leave CA or spend 180 days doing hard labor. Many police officers were placed at state borders for migration checks. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>FDR established many programs to help alleviate the poor and farmers. Hes established the Soil Erosion Service and the Prairie States Forestry Project in 1935. These projects put local farmers to work planting trees as windbreakers on farms across the Great Plains. The Soil Erosion Service taught new farming techniques to combat the problem of soil erosion. </div>]]></description>
