2. How much does your neighborhood define who you are? Discuss role your neighborhood plays in your life.  Would you be a different person if you grew up someplace else? Explain. My neighborhood doesn't define me I am nice and calm and my street is wild and crazy there have been at least three shootings in front of my house since I have lives there.

3.Imagine some ways your life might be different if you lived in another kind of neighborhood. If I lived in a different neighborhood I would have more friends on the block and not have to worry about shootings and drug dealers. I would feel much safer.

The setting of the novel takes place in Maycomb, Alabama in the 1930s during the Great

Depression and has a huge effect on their lives. Which brings me to my point, the setting

of To Kill A Mockingbird is influential to the plot because it affects their perspective,

thoughts, and motives.

        Atticus is a lawyer; while he has also revealed he can shoot very well they called him ol

one shot because he never misses. Although the environment has changed his way of

life he hasn’t shot anyone in years until one night. Atticus seemed like a very simple man

who was just a regular lawyer but he had a grave secret. “Heck brings a rifle and asks

Atticus to shoot the animal. To Jem and Scout amazement, Atticus does so, hitting the

dog with his first shot despite his considerable distance from the dog. Later, Miss

Maudie tells Jem and Scout that, as a young man, Atticus was the best shot in the

county—”One-shot Finch.”The effect that happens with the choices Atticus makes are

strong. People treat them different when he took a black man’s case and when his

kids find out he killed someone.

         Scout is a sassy little girl who says what she hears and has no idea what she says;while being a innocent 6 year old who is a sister and daughter.Although she

doesn’t understand the things that she repeats she tells it how she believes it. Scout

Finch - The narrator and protagonist of the story. Jean Louise “Scout” Finch lives with

her father, Atticus, her brother, Jem, and their black cook, Calpurnia, in Maycomb. She

is intelligent and, by the standards of her time and place, a tomboy.She affects the way

people think and the way people act she is very influential.

Jem is the older brother of Scout he leads a good example for his little sister. For example when they found out that Atticus could shoot Scout wanted to tell everybody so she could be popular. But being responsible Jem didn because he knew if the information got out that, that could hurt his father’s reputation. Jem is no exception to this rule. Interestingly, the changes he undergoes are seen from the point-of- view of a younger sister, which gives a unique perspective on his growth.Jem is a good brother compared to his sister who is bad he tries to do the right thing but his sister always has an opinion.Plus, Jem is very smart and careful with how he handles things. Ultimately, your environment is influential!
