Years later the island her tribe lives on starts to slowly die. In the attempt to save her village she sets off one night into the sea with Te fiti's heart ready to defeat Te fiti. In the end, Moana learns that she has to restore the heart to te fiti instead of defeating her. This story connects to the importance of nature as Moana's love for her village and the sea gives her the courage to venture out and save her family. Also showing us how we can depend on nature and how when one area is suffering the rest will suffer shortly after. If we take care of what's around us and we don't take it for granted we can live happier lives in the end, and find more of ourselves through the journey. 

Throughout the movie, Moana meets Maui who teaches her how to sail and travel. While Moana is facing great stress, she still finds delight and happiness in nature and those around her while staying on path. Once she saves her Island her tribe returns to the voyages through the sea that their ancestors once took. Shrek lives off the land around him, building his house from a tree stump eating the plants and animals around him, and bathing in the mud. Only using the natural resources around him Shrek is living his happiest life. This helps viewers see that all the material we collect may be just that; materials we collect. We don't always need the most expensive things but if we appreciate the natural elements around us we may find more in life. 

Connecting this to the Emerson quote above, Shrek uses the natural things around him as he sees fit. They have lost touch with all-natural plants and elements but no one finds this wrong. In this movie, we follow Ted a young teen who wants to see a real tree. He is a non-conformist as he wishes to see a real tree as does the girl he likes. Venturing out he comes across the Once-ler who tells him the story of the Lorax. Ted learns from the Once-ler the importance of real trees and thinking differently than others. 

At the end of this movie, the town is against Ted planting the real tree. They are against the change he may bring with it. The mayor of the town groups everyone against him but they slowly come to Ted's side and want the tree to grow. We follow Evan as he gets to know the grieving family. As they grow closer finding new relationships and comfort in each other Evan continues to cover up his lie. His past without a full family and father figure causes him to cling to the grieving family harder as they welcome him in to try to know more about their son. He brings more people into his lies causing more hurt along the way as he holds onto the idea of a new, improved, family. 

Connecting the quote from Emerson, Evan has a lack of integrity during and once the truth comes out. He decides the Murphy family not showing the honor and honesty he possesses. She relies on herself to take care of herself and the animals around her. As well as relies on herself to do the things she wishes to do such as attending the royal ball. 

Throughout this, she connects to the Emerson quote as she finds her inner peace and happiness by taking back her life from the stepmother. All while staying kind and true to herself.
