I worked at a 2 year old school in South Korea. A few observations:
1. The school seemed to have every resource available to support the student learning.
2. the school administration was very driven and focused which created a driven and focused school culture.
3. the school was heavily monitored by the board of education.

I don't think that an established school of similar size would have had the same level of scrutiny, dedicated leadership, or supports.

Because of all of these things working at the school was especially challenging. Teacher worked long and hard hours with constant worry of a pop in by the Principal (or someone higher up). But, there was a great opportunity to help our students learn. We had all the materials and a great culture to opperate in.

I've never personally worked in a new school, but I would imagine that there are many challenges. One that I can think of is trying to establish unified systems throughout the school that meet the needs of each department

Yes. My last school was two years old when I joined it last year which is quite different from my first school who has more than 20 years history. New school doesn't have good curriculum and enough resources to support teaching.

I have never worked at a new school. In regards to how it is different, I believe one difference would be an established norm around the school. As in, students and teachers will not be in a rhythm or flow with the way the learning is happening.

New principal need to have more time to learn about the school and get to know the teachers. It takes more time for new principal to deal with the problem. But new princiapl usually will be more open minded, will bring more new ideas how to support teachers and their teaching.

In my current school, some of the teachers(who are not Early education major/ no early Ed experiences) they don't like to go on field trip for the preschool. They don't understand why preschool need to go for field trip. Me and other teachers tried to convince them to go for example, when we are learning about community helper, it is better for the students to go to the fire station to lean about the fire fighters, fire engines and so on. Children leran by doing, playing and experiencing.
