Global organization is fundamental in expansion of a business' growth plan. When the company is able to expand and compete outside of the originating country, it is then able to participate in international business transactions, also known as Globalization.

One company that comes to mind would be FedEx. FedEx was founded in Arkansas in 1971. There was a need designed specifically for package delivery.

When I was working with a medical supply company, we relied heavily on FedEx for shipping parts internationally. The company I worked for had contracts with other countries and the owner knew they could rely on timely and safe shipping of medical equipment to other FedEx's located all around the world.

Companies that compete in international industries attempt to secure their 'place' in the market, by using different communication techniques to appeal to their customers. Competing in international markets, allows a multitude of advantages. For example, the accessibility of lower manufacturing costs, which can help lead to increased profits, more affordable labor. By doing so, companies such as McDonalds for instance are able to more easily appeal to customers in competing markets by appealing to cultural influences, background, and many other traits.

For instance, in March I visited Puerto Rico. And similarly, majority of the restaurants, businesses, stores etc. advertised
in Spanish, including McDonalds. Without knowing the financials, but looking at the amount of customers they were serving, business was running just fine.
