Most excited about how clear and direct impact it can have.

Really lifts up public infrastructure, this feels like a life or death issue for me. Resilience centers will be required in the future. I like looking at schools and drawing down federal funding

- need to have a climate resilient strategies.  - what stood out:  a) idea of community-led & adapting what communities need + b) strong labor standards
- like meant to shift away from the increasingly privatized resilience solutions, holistic nature
- practically, will have more climate disasters - driving the necessity to have back-up disaster response and shifting it to be a public good (like the concept of a library for education)
- microgrid can be really costly, but community-level solar and storage really important to secure funding
- care & social infrastructure so important for resilience long-term and this is a chance to visibilize that need.
- opportunity to build with labor unions and broad sectors, like teachers, nurses, service workers

How much funding would be needed? In terms of adequate and comprehensively upgraded buildings - AND - funding ongoing programming?
How to prioritize/what's the timeline for roll-out to all communities?
How can groups have a roll in the decision-making process for the program so our priorities are integral?
Some thoughts in response: LCJA and APEN have been exploring the rural/tribal/unincorporated issue and have ensured this is prioritized in SGC grant program guidelines. Construction piece, specially maintenance will require a lot of fund. But will be opposed if it is not from new money instead of coming from a general fund. 

Unclear and concerned about how we will continue funding in the future to maintain these CRCs in the future and of the opposition that will arise once we kick off

Building these projects rely on local permitting processes and systems that are not up to date

Building these may require the use of fossil fuels like Diesel
