The colonists were fighting with snowballs and ice, yet they were technically unarmed. When a British soldier fired on these colonists, the Sons of Liberty and other revolutionaries took it as a chance to spread their cause.

One of these acts closed the Boston Harbor until the colonists could pay for the lost tea, and another allowed British officials to have a trial in Britain if they thought they would not get a fair trial in Massachusetts.

The Tea Act was an act that took out the liaison when it came to importing tea into the colonies, allowing the East India Company to import tea directly into the colonies without first having to sell to a colonial merchant. This hurt the colonial economy and resulted in a boycott on tea and an increase in smuggling attempts, as well as a crackdown on the smugglers.

The Proclamation of 1763 was an issue released at the end of the French and Indian War that prevented the colonists from settling west of the Appalachian mountains. This was done for a few reasons, mostly being that the British were in debt and did not have the money to protect those settling there from the French and Native Americans who still insisted the land was theirs. This was not a popular move with the colonists.
