He learned about the Rosetta Stone where he then mastered multiple languages ranging from Latin to Coptic by his mid teens. This is so notable because Champollion was able to distinguish the undecipherable Greek and Egyptian hieroglyphics on the Rosetta Stone. He was also the first philologist and was the first person to understand the picture and alphabetical meanings behind the Rosetta Stone script which was a break through for deciphering this long lost language.

With Champollion's work, we have been able to have a variety of advantages. We are now able to decode hidden messages and unravel history through their text. Also, a new language learning program, named Rosetta Stone, was made due to Champollion's success in learning multiple languages throughout his lifetime.

All in all, Champollion left a lasting impact since he was able to unveil the infamous Rosetta Stone.

"According to his sister Gilberte, Pascal ``discovered'' geometry on his own. At the young age of twelve, he was drawing geometric figures on the floor of his playroom and it is said that he discovered, on his own, the fact that the interior angles of a triangle add up to the sum of two right angles (Euclid's 32nd proposition of book I). According to Gilberte, it was around this time that her father walked in to find his son drawing figures on the floor. Etienne watched his son and realized the genius of the boy. The proud father presented his son with a copy of Euclid's Elements and from this time on allowed him to continue his studies in mathematics.
