Visitors can get information on Taiping tourism products and printed materials such as travel product brochures and hotels in Taiping, Taiping Tourism Handbook and Taiping Map. The special in this Taiping Municipal Gallery was “strong room”. This strong room was used to store important documents such as documents such as agreements, receipts, maps, plans and such. This building that was built in 1891 housed the Perak Trigonometric and Survey Department. Later in 1931, this building was taken over by the Taiping Sanitary Board until 1986. The company responsible for installing the door for the strong room was Chubb Lock & Safe Makers from United Kingdom and still operating until now. This door was made from metal, which was specially brought in from London, and was a greenish golden yellow colour.
