         <description><![CDATA[<p>Expecting success is absolutely critical. <strong>Children need to feel confident, and they need to feel competent</strong>. Nobody likes to engage in an activity that makes them feel incompetent. And there's no reason to try on something when you don't believe that you are going to succeed on it. </p><p><br></p><p>When teachers have high expectations for students and provide tasks that are engaging and of high interest, students build self-esteem, increase confidence and improve academic performance. </p><p><br></p>]]></description>
