In this part, we learn how Kunal is the top warrior in the Blood Fort and Esha who possesses to be a lost trader when meeting Kunal is really part of the Cresents an elite rebellion group trying to take down the pretender king who runs the Blood Fort. We learn how there used to be a bond between two nations between two brothers. But somewhere along the lines 10 years ago there was a backstab leaving all the lands in ruins and the two nations at war for years now. Esha and Kunal meet when Kunal is on duty the day after the truce between the two nations, he sees a lost trader Esha who is posing as this to enter the fort and kill the general. Kunal meets and she claims she is lost and he brings her back to the path leading her to where she needs to go. She then circles back and gets into the fort as he is entering behind him accessing the general. She finds him in the room already dead knowing someone tried to frame her and her rebellion group for the murder trying to end the truce and get back to war. We then find out that Esha was the princess of one of the two kingdoms and as her family was being killed she escaped and became a rebel, she now seeks to take down the pretender king. The people of the blood fort believe it was done by the legendary assassin the viper but since we get the perspective of both sides we know that the viper yes went there to go assassin in the commander but ended up being beaten to the chase and when she got there he was already dead. But the weird thing about it was that she was being framed because a replica of her whip the thing she does the killings with was left there meaning someone was trying to set her up. We then learn about kunal who his uncle and the last of his family has died witch was his uncle. So both of these main characters are both from different places but both share the same life in a way. We then switch to kunal who has just for his journey to try and kill the viper before the other 3 soliders who are on the same mission. We learn about his stugles tracking down the viper and how he cant shake the thought that the girl he has met in the first few chapters the ¨trader¨ was actually the viper after a report from a solider of a girl leaving. He trys shaking off the thought thinking he is being dumb but its funny that it is actually true. They both are trying to escape and end up climbling up a tree were they are safe. Kunal then questions esha and why she was just at the boats about to leave and now she is at the forest, she answeres his questions well and he stops questioning each other. He then tells her a little about himself and she does the same. They both like each other company. Then they wake up and esha has already left but her bag was still there and kunal sees a pin from the cresent blades one of the rebellion groups he then understands she is the viper once he sees her whip sitting inside of the bag. He sees her coming back from getting water he chases her but she had traps set out so he falls. It then fast fowards to her point of view and her running for 2 days straight in fear because now someone knows who she is. Everyone wonders where he had been all day and night and question him. He explains a story about how he was lost and all that. They then pack up camp and head east towards a village were they all talk around about the viper and if they have heard anything. We hear kunal inner throughts about how he thinks she is working with the cresents blades and is not working a lone. The whole team of men all decide to sepreate and go there own ways since this is a compotition after all.
