The Neolithic Revolution occured around 10,000 BCE when people stopped moving around to gather and hunt for food and began farming and raising animals instead. This change first happened in the Middle East, especially in Mesopotamia (currently Iraq) and then spread to Egypt, China, and Europe. It led to the growth of permanent villages, larger populations, and the beginning of more developed societies.

Source: https://www2.nau.edu/~gaud/bio301/content/neolth.htm#:~:text=The%20Neolithic%20Revolution%20was%20the,directed%20the%20labor%20of%20their
