If industries and the government started becoming more sustainable, it would be easy for consumers/the community to follow their lead. Along with that, if consumers started prioritizing only buying from sustainable companies, industries would gear their products to become more sustainable to fit the consumers' needs while still maintaining profit. Unfortunately, this could lead to greenwashing due to industries wanting to maintain fast production and profit.
