05/06/2023 - Currently reading graphic novel (manga) 'Vagabond' by Takehiko Inoue. A manga based on the many short stories in the novel 'Mushasi' written by Eiji Yoshikawa, which inspired his story on the legendary 16th century swordsman and samurai

Thoughts:

- I am literally Miyamoto Musashi
- Illustrations are top tier
- Plot is amazing, constantly expanding with new characters and unexpected encounters, manages to tell story of many different characters at the same time.

2- Book of short stories, recommended by my grandmother 'Marcovaldo'

A fun book composed by 20 short stories, each named after a season and following chronological order as the book goes by. These short stories tell in a comic style the adventures of 'Marcovaldo' a nature lover father and his respective family as they strive to survive and find joy in their chaotic poor lifes in the city.

Thoughts:

- Big contrast with nature and artificial urban objects
- Italo calvino, the italian author of this book heavily criticizes and satirises the fake and hostile 'nature' created by the consuming society.

This book written in 1933 by Maurice Leblanc is part of the wide collection of novels telling the epic adventures of the iconic 'Gentleman Thief' - Arsène Lupin.

Let it be said that I had alredy read many other stories of Arsène Lupin, from this same collection, however this story is one of my favorites rivaling with '813' (from same author) my favorite, maybe because in both stories Lupin manages to infiltrate the police force and pull out amazing and comedic stunts.

Thoughts:

- Arsène Lupin is one of my favorite characters ever
- The book has a complicated and antique language which I strugggled at first, but later got used to.
