Hurricane Irma is the strongest Atlantic hurricane ever recorded outside the gulf of Mexico and the Carribean sea. It lasted from August 31st 'til September 11th, and affected 9 US States turning streets into rivers, ripping down power lines, uprooting trees, and cutting of coastal communites. In florida officials ordered to about 6 million people to evacuate and there were 77.000 people in 450 staters. There buildings have the highest wind standards of the nation since they inproved their praparation after hurricane Andrew in 1992, but that hasn't offered enough protection.

It's a deep expression  of the forces of nature.
The viewer is submerged in the radiant spray of the falls, as water and light fuse. The use of scale also contributes to the effect: in fact, the small figures in the lower left of the painting seem denominated by the immense falls that surround them.
The painting reflects the Romantic notion of the sublime, a transcender emotional experience of nature.

John Constable rapresented the naturalistic aspect of Romanticism.
The Hay- Wain was one of a series devoted to the Suffolk- Essex area near the River Stour. The picture shows a stretch of the river with a cottage to the left and an apen corn- field in the distance. The focal point of the river is the hay-wain with a cottage to the left and an open corn- field in the distance.
The hay- wain is empty as it is being driven across the river to collect its next load from the harvest that is being gathered on the other side in the far distance.
