When Annmarie´s father was telling the story it made me think about later on in the story when she said ¨ then I´ll stand up for the king to!¨ that she was gonna stand up for him later on and will save Copenhagen.

When Ellen said that she would make the shoes black i noticed that Kirsti was still not very happy still she just said that they might be a little beter if they weren't green. I actually like green.

When Annmarie's father told her the story of the little boy and the Soldier he said that he and his wife would gratefully die for the king and she said she would also be very happy to die for the king. I think she will have to be very brave to stand up for the king and make their home regular and then she will be known throughout her town. she will be a brave girl and will bring back pink frosted cupcakes again and everyone will be super super happy again and the soldiers will be gone for a while FOREVER!!!

When Annemarie mother said there is no more leather but they found away to make shoes out of fish skin.This also goes that there is no more cupcakes so it shows that more and more things are getting taken away.

When her mom told her that she got her fish shoes she had a melt down because she thought they where ugly and she blamed her mom because she bought her ugly shoes. on her birth day these bombs went off and her mom told her they were fire works. so she would not no that people were killing each other

When kirsti said that "NOT WHEN YOU GO TO A FISH STORE!" it was surprising. I think that the author put it in to be funny, and/or to show that there are not many things that are availible to them.

some thing else i noticed was that they changed there mood to when they were reading the story they were grossed out and sad but they changed when they were playing dolls and they were happy but also sad because there town was getting bomed on kristis birthday and kristi thought they were fire works because she was little

Kristi When she said that she would rather get locked up in a jail sell and get tied up then were those shoes when I heard that I thought in the future that she will get angry and attack scream and uncover the friends and really Ellen.

Kirsten is really arguing with her mother she is also being really buggy about her new shoes. Also Annmarie is being very nice and Ellen said ¨ I can go home and ask my dad if he can color the shoes in black with his sharpy.¨ and Ellen is being very kind and after she left they though about the natsis.

Her mom is comforting Kristi by saying "It is a birthday surprise." When it was bombs.That shows me why Kristi doesn't know about it because Kristi mom keeps telling her that it's a surprise and other stuff to comfort her.

Kristi when she heard the bombs she was told that they were to celebrate as fire works the kept here safe not to be sad about what was really going down in the bay.
