LA Yeonu is a Syrian refugee on Jeju Island. He thought that the civil war is a big reason for the refugee outbreak. He said discrimination on Jeju Island was not severe, but the media reported as if something big had happened. He pointed out that if refugees were Chinese or Greek, the media would have reported like this.

SONG Bora was a Korea Muslim. She stated about discrimination to Korea Muslims. She argued that wearing a hijab makes it difficult to get a job. She said that interviewers only asked questions about Islam, not about ability. She stressed that wearing a hijab is freedom. She pointed out the reality that Korea Muslims give up hijab under social pressure.

The difference of opinion on the solution of SHIN Kang hyob (Jeju Peace Human Rights Institute WHAT) and SHO Chang ho (Protesting against Poverty ＆ Discrimination Solidarity for Human Rights) was the most inspired. SHIN Kang hyob spotlighted communication between Koreans and Muslims. Yet, SHO Chang ho focused the cause of the problem on Koreans. He said that a residents of Daegu did not object when the Mosque was first established. However, he claimed that as the mosque expanded, he began to oppose it. In other words, he identified that the selfishness of Koreans is a problem.

I also think we must break the prejudice about all refugees, including Muslims.

In this regard, Korean actor Jung Woo-sung supported Yemeni refugees who arrived on Jeju Island in 2018. Saying, "The suffering of refugees is our suffering." Recently, however, I happened to see a post related to Jung Woo-sung, which was filled with malicious comments from people who opposed the support of refugees. I think we need to change our view of refugees quickly.
