I am feeling more cautious about the use of AI in school and society. I think that it can be used properly and used for good purposes, but just like anything else it can be abused. I think for the purposes of school teachers should introduce it in a way that students use it as a support.

I think we still need to use technology, as our students will be encountering technology the rest of their lives outside of school, but we also need to give them a break from technology. I feel like my students get burnt out sometimes if we're using technology for 95 minutes, and sometimes it seems like they're more engaged if we're doing an activity on paper.

The knock against teaching has been that we take the kids out of the technological world and place them into the same classrooms that their parents were in. Taking technology out of the classroom does little to prepare the students for what the real world will be for them. We have the responsibility to bring in as much technology as possible. Remember, we are preparing them for jobs that don't currently exist.

Seeing how we can utilize AI sources to help in education is exciting, but it also comes with the drawback of knowing that AI will also be used improperly. I think as with anything, learning how to use these sources in a positive way will benefit us as teachers but also help our students learn how to properly harness something that could be very helpful.

If not, then the line of cheating/not cheating is blurred and things become increasingly difficult.
