This part of the reading stood out to me because as was stated, it is not a one time, check the list event. This is how school has been handling multicultural topics, as an "event" It is ongoing and dynamic because no one ever stops becoming a multicultural person and knowledge is never complete. I have the advantage of using performers, artists, and influential stage actors to get my students attention. 2 years ago I arranged a staycation field trip that brough Voltaire Wade Green to our school. Voltaire was the asst choreographer of Hamilton. What a wonderful experience that was for our students, but I realized that a one time event does not translate into multicultural education. This text has helped me understand that.
