As you are actively monitoring testing classrooms, you notice that in one room there is a student who is not using their headphones. You ask the student why they are not using their headphones which is needed for their Text-to-Speech accommodation. The student replies that they don’t want to use them.

Working out problems

You see a teacher very focused writing down something on their clipboard. You enter the room and discover the teacher is copying down problems and solving them. When you ask for an explanation, the teacher says they were bored and didn't think it was a big deal.

Supplemental Aids

A student has Supplemental Aids designated on the TestHound Room Accommodations report. On testing day, she shows the TA a formula chart their mom printed out for them from the internet. The TA looks at it and says "OK".

Cell Phone in Book

Teacher followed all procedures for cell phones and informed students that all cell phones/electronics need to be turned off and in their backpacks. The only thing she allowed students to have is a book of their choice to read. As she is actively monitoring she notices that one of the books is vibrating - a student has hidden a cell phone in the book.

Internet Down

The STAAR RLA test has started about 45 minutes ago. Students are using their online tools - highlighting and using their notepads. All of a sudden the internet goes down and students lose their connection.

Sketchy Student Behavior
