In Macbeth Act 2, scene 2 the film scene vs novel scene differ in a variety of ways. Examples would be the involvement of Lady Macbeth's character in which seemed to appear more frequently in the graphic novel, in her part-take in the murder of Duncan. As to where in the film, the scene is displayed as a rather individual act by Macbeth and focuses more on him and his thoughts and feelings. Secondly the actual murder act was not displayed in the graphic novel where as in the film it shows ever single aspect and detail of how the act took place when Macbeth repeatedly stabbed Duncan ( 3:25-4:22). .

In the Shakespeare novel, Macbeth what was analyzed was act 2, scene 2 in the novel as well as the film; The murder of king Duncan committed by Macbeth in which was portrayed as a intense and ominous scene, the novel however included more clenched and anxious facial expressions as well as emphasized lettering to draw attention to the panel being displayed to help better understand the intensity. Secondly in Macbeth the film included was a variety of Camera angles such as Long shots of Macbeth's approach, mid shots , and close-ups of the actual murder which all were chosen appropriately with the correct time it was displayed. The body language Macbeth seized was an uptight and tense posture to show viewers the discomfort and anxiety he had about committing the act towards Duncan who is faithful and loving toward's Macbeth. Overall the film and the novel differ in many ways like the scene where the actual murder is committed which was failed to be shown in the graphic novel but was shown in every gory and detailed way in the film although the graphic novel did include more detailed and colourful images and strong use of special effect words to help draw readers attention to the panel. Both scenes had one overall dark goal which was followed through in a gloomy and dark matter.

In the Novel and film Macbeth, written by shakespeare both scenes succeeded in affecting my impression on the scene. The graphic novel helped me gain a better understanding of the violence and mental abuse brought on by lady Macbeth and just how intense and pressure she lays on Macbeth. The film however gave me more of and outlook on how dark and intense the actual murder was considering it was shown on film but not in the novel.
