The violence against women is the most important political issue to me because it is ridiculous. People, a lot of times men, abuse women all the time. And unfortunately, it seems to not be going away. It makes me sad and really upset to read and watch the news and hear stories of women being abused which results in death for the lady, or sometimes not even a harsh enough punishment for the abuser. This needs to be stopped now.

4 The Abortion Controversy

The government, especially men have no right to tell women what to do with their bodies. While I believe that abortion is wrong and I don't support it, it should be that person's choice whether they get an abortion or not. Something as big as giving birth to a child and raising that child is something that can and most likely will change someone's life. There are situations where the mother would not be able to care for that child and therefore that child would not live a quality life. There are situations where the mother could die while giving birth and who is the government to say that an unborn child is more important than the mother. And of course there is the situation of r@pe. Any women of any age should not be forced to carry, birth, and raise the child of their rapist. Situations where a child is raped, middle schoolers should not have to care for a child and that is if they can survive the child birth. Stopping abortions only stops safe abortions. People will find other ways that are unsafe and can harm or kill them. Making abortions illegal puts more people in harms way. Abortion should be up to the individual and no one has the right to tell women what to do with their bodies.

I think that abortions should be legal because it is not up to a government to tell what to do with our bodies. Of course some people may not support abortions, but that just means that they don't need to get one because not everyone has the same beliefs. People are very against abortions, but not many people seem to care for the thousands of kids that end up in foster homes. Banning abortions is just banning a safe abortion because some people will still find a more harmful way around it.

The government, which is primarily run by men, have no right to decide what I can do with my body. The decision for me to get an abortion or for another female to receive one is entirely their right to decide. Men have no right to even have a say in this. Ever since Roe v Wade has been overturned, some states have banned abortion, in all cases. So, if a women is a victim of 🤬 she is forced to have that baby and be reminded of that experience ever day for the 9 months of her pregnancy. That is a huge reason why abortion should be legal. Overall, it is my body and my choice and no one else should I have any say in what I can and cannot do with my body.

I think women should be equally represented in all ways of life, especially the government. It is unfair for men to always be making the decisions for men and women, and if we want equality to be reached, our voices should be equally heard.

Violence against women is the political issue that is most important to me. It's disappointing how women get harassed just because they're women. Women deserve the freedom to walk around at any time, especially night without the thought in the back of their head thinking someone's going to attack them. There's way too many women dying everyday because some people cant keep their hands to themselves. There should be more laws and protection for women to prevent this type of violence.

Women are going to college now and getting the same education as men, so paying differently is unfair. After putting in the same amount of work as men, women deserve to be payed the same amount as men. It doesn't make sense to pay less solely based on the gender of that person. If the job is being done well, then the woman deserves to make as much as the man

With women being unrepresented in leadership roles, it creates another opportunity to make women look less equal and inferior to men. If women were more stongly represented in politics, business, education, school, etc., people would view women as stronger and as leaders. If more women are shown as leaders, it will prove that women can be leaders, and women will gain more respect. When women gain more respect, women will be treated more fairly and with higher levels of respect. Making women equal starts with representation.

I think that although all of these topics are extremely important, the issue of pay equity is something that is experienced by almost everybody because now majority of people have jobs. It is commonly found today that men and women share the same jobs, and if they are doing the same work there is no reason for a male to be paid at a higher wage. All these people have the same expenses that they are earning money for: family, food, shelter, etc. Some of these people may be their only source of income and have to be able to earn enough money to survive. If they have to work for a company that doesn't view their work as equal as a mans, then why are they allowed to have the same jobs?

No matter what you believe is wrong or right, getting an abortion is something a women should be able to decided for themselves. There are many situations where the women could die while giving child birth, but the government believes that the baby is more importatn than the mother or a women was r@ped and now has to carry that remind with her for the rest of her life. Making abortion illegal does not only take away women's rights but it can put them in many other dangerous situation. Although i don't believe in aborting a child for the wrong reasons, I do think that it should be every women's indivdual choice.

I think that abortion should be legal everywhere. I don't think that it is fair for the government comprised of mostly men to decide how a pregnancy should be handled. I think that women should have a right to an abortion. While im not saying that everyone should have an abortion I think that it should be a choice. If a woman was unbale to carry her child safely she should have the right to an abortion. The men should not have a say in if a women carries her child full term or gets an abortion. An abortion is also one of the safest way to terminate an harmful or deadly miscarriage. And in states that abortion is illegal it makes it harder for women to get the safe treatment option for a miscarriage. When the states ban abortions it doesn't stop people from getting them it just prevents the safe ones from happening.

Life is important I will say that. But if abortion is illegal there are many things wrong with this. First of all, some women get an abortion because it is taking a toll on their mental health and can cause their physical health as well to deteriorate. Some women are not equipped to handle the stress of pregnancy, especially when they do so in a bad mental period for them. Second of all, many women get abortions because of forced pregnancy. There are issues of sexual assault and r@pe. This can lead to a woman becoming pregnant even when they didn't want to. Third, the young teens who get pregnant by mistake and can't take care of a child. Fourth, there are chances for a specific number of women whose pregnancy threatens their life. By getting rid of the right to abortion women may end up dying for the life of an unborn child. And there are also many other reasons why we should not give up abortion. People may say we can just give a child up for adoption if we don't want it. But it's not that simple. There are many other reasons and I could go into much more depth about this, but I won't be going into that this time.

While protecting against violence towards women comes in a close second, a womans right to make her own choices about her body should be prioritized. A woman must have to right to an abortion if she chooses. It should never be up to the government what she does with her body. Those who do not believe in abortions for moral or religious reasons should simply not have them. It should be up the the individual whether that is the right choice for their specific circumstance or not. Making abortion illegal can create even worse circumstances for the child, because if the pregnacy was unplanned, the baby could be born into an unsafe environment. Or, women could have abortions illegally which is unsafe for the women. It is more important to protect the women.

This is a major issue that can be seen all over the place: doctors offices, schools, businesses, and many more.
